This bundle includes all 17 contradas of Palio! These unique mugs are designed by Italian artist Mario Bruno, each featuring the insignia and colors of the contrada.
The "Palio di Siena" is a reenactment of a medieval horse race that occurs twice a year during the summer season in the beautiful city of Siena, located in the stunning Tuscany region.
The race's name 'Palio' comes from the Italian word for 'banner'. The richly decorated Palio Banner is awarded to the winning 'Contrada' (District) of the race.
Seventeen Contrade compete in the Palio twice a year in July and August, each with its insignia. We sell porcelain coffee mugs printed in high resolution featuring all seventeen Contrade insignias.
