The Arabesco evokes Italian country charm and is one of the most popular patterns in Deruta although its origins date back to a 17th century Persian calligraphic pattern. The main motif is a whimsical bird, hand painted in lively colors and surrounded by an abstract background of Yellow/Ochre leaves. A special note must mention the intricate clay bisques vessels used for this collection, 100% wheel-thrown, molded by master potters. These are precious heirlooms to be passed down from one generation to another.
