MUG-Chiocciola
This beautiful signature mug features an exclusive design created by the artist Mario Bruno, depicting the colors and emblem of the Palio di Siena Contrada mentioned in the product title.
The "Palio di Siena" is a reenactment of a medieval horse race that takes place twice a year during the summer season in the beautiful city of Siena, located in the stunning Tuscany region.
The race gets its name 'Palio' from the Italian word for 'banner'. The richly decorated Palio Banner is awarded to the winning 'Contrada' (District) of the race.
Seventeen Contrade compete in the Palio twice a year in July and August, each with its insignia. We sell porcelain coffee mkugs printed in high resolution featuring all seventeen Contrade insignias.
