MAJOLICA Collection: This masterpiece truly reflects the expertise of the Italian Mastri-Ceramisti, who have spent the last five centuries perfecting the tin-glazed earthenware now known as Majolica.
This beautifully crafted piece was made using the Ingobbio technique, the ancient Tuscan process that provides an authentic Old World appearance while enhancing the vibrancy of the colors.
You can actually feel the consistent (almost raised) texture of the painting when gently passing your hand over the decorated areas. Because of the complexity of both preparation and painting, this technique is now used by very few artisans, making these items rare and hard to find.
An Artistica classic, this collection is also our most sophisticated pattern.
