Most of Artistica's dinnerware products are manufactured to be used as "Serving" pieces and not cookware and therefore placing our product in Microwave oven is not recommended. Even if no damage may occur to the ceramic piece itself, the warning is more directed to the overheating of the item, which is caused by the clay's natural minerals content and the air inside the earthenware that heats up in the microwave ovens.
