Over 500 years of artistic heritage has produced a multitude of ceramic artists in the Italian town of Deruta.
Artistica's exclusive artists have been painting ceramics since her childhood, and along with the traditional design many enjoys exploring new "Vario" and "Frutta" patterns, such as some shown in this page.
These home decor items add homey European flavor to any décor thanks to their unique array of colors perfectly in line with the current fashion color palette.

TRADITIONAL TUSCAN FRUIT DESIGNS Collections
The foliaged and fruit theme of these collections are classic majolica designs from the hilltop towns of Montelupo located in the heart of Tuscany in the outskirts of Florence that has been an important center for manufacturing ceramics since medieval times.
These collection portrays a true classic Tuscan patterns featuring fruits surrounded by intricate foliage designs. All shapes are from genuine Tuscan molds, fully hand made as well as hand painted.
Like ALL Artistica's products, every item in any of these collections are individually hand-made and Hand-Painted by skilled Italian artisans, and not mass-produced.

TUSCANY "OLD WORLD" MAJOLICA Collections
Rich and exclusive Artistica patterns that define the genuine Tuscan look, masterfully hand-painted by master, with festive color combinations and fascinating shapes.
Most of these Majolica pieces are created using the now rare technique called "ingobbio", an ancient Tuscan process, that produces an authentic 'Old World' look, and adds significant body to the colors.
Unlike in other traditional Italian ceramics, in the "ingobbio" Tuscan majolica you can actually feel the consistent (almost raised) body of the painting when gently passing your hand over decorated parts.
Each piece is hand-finished with our exclusive 'Old-World' patina, to further emphasize the look of a genuine antique majolica piece.

that we have painstakingly gathered over the years.
Created in small workshops by skilled artists, the products featured in these collections are the best exemplary pieces of true Italian Majolica and original masterpieces with a very limited production.
Their scarcity is due by the fact that these masterworks are exclusively hand painted by the “maestro” of each workshop, additionally, the intricate clay bisques are wheel-thrown, molded by master potters from separate factories.
These are precious heirlooms to be passed down from one generation to another.
In some instances, our "Prima Classe" items require a few weeks for delivery
but after all, good things are worth waiting for...

SCAVO SOLID COLORS Collections
Artistica's 'scavo' look and finish is renown in our industry as the most realistic…
 Even the experts will have to look twice to recognize the antiqued glazing imparted by the new ceramic technique used on these collections as each piece is hand-finished, intentionally distressed to achieve the well-used look of a much older piece.
Our Scavo collection were created to combine simplicity and elegance for home and garden areas featuring captivating shapes of practical vessels.  Fully glazed inside and out, they hold water and are great for arranging flowers or as table top decorative items.

At Artistica, we definitely carry the largest assortment of richly hand painted dinnerware and tabletop products. Guaranteed to be 100% Food Safe being manufactured with lead free color pigments. Furthermore we independently inspected and test these products to comply with FDA standards and U.S.A. import regulations for lead and cadmium.
