The Masks of Prosperity
In ancient
times, masks were often believed to contain great power.
Some of our elaborate masks depict Roman Gods, such as “Bacchus” the
God of Wine, others represent the four seasons.
In the mystery and miracle plays of medieval Europe, masks were used
to portray allegorical characters.
Masks were employed in Renaissance courtly entertainment.
Artistica’s masks are completely Hand-Made in Florence—Italy, and
the gorgeous fruit surrounding each mask is painstakingly
hand-applied.

The
representation of a goat's horn overflowing with fruits, flowers,
and vegetables, used to symbolize plenty or prosperity.
