Wall Décor… Tuscan style!
A great assortment of wall accessories from
Tuscany.
Among them, we would like to point out the new
reproduction of a sundial from the Middle Ages, that tells time
according to the angle of the sun's shadow, as it moves clockwise
around the sundial.
Also shown two sizes of the ever popular
"Madonna" Robbiana
Our “Robbiana” pieces are created from original hand-carved molds,
and painstakingly hand painted in the classic technique originated
by the Della Robbia Florentine dynasty, a family of sculptors and
ceramists active from the 15th to the 16th century. The distinctive
mastery of Della Robbia sculptors raised Italian majolica works from
craft to high art, mostly for the application of their sculptural
skills to hand molded clay. Della Robbia created a style and
technique that still today carries a unique charm. They are also
recognized for their invention of glazed terracotta.

GIGLIO Collection
The Tuscan interpretation of the Raffaellesco
pattern.
The “Raffaellesco” design traces its origins from the graceful
arabesques of XVI Century painter Raphael's famous frescoes, which
feature a stylized dragon.
BIANCO FIRENZE
A Florentine classic
“Bianco Firenze” is a newly introduced collection, but this
“cream-white” look has been presented by Artistica since our first
days. Today, even more than yesterday, it is still the choice of the
most discriminating Interior Designers for the trendy, yet simple
Tuscan décor.
Patterned after typical Italian motifs of the 16th Century, the
Bianco Firenze collection features antique-style vessels, with a
sculpted interpretation of the traditional Florentine “Fleur-de-Lis”.
The “old world” patina closely resembles the naturally-aged glaze of
antique ceramics, and the intentionally chipped finish provides the
well-used look of a much older piece. |
